Trustly among sponsors for the biggest online gaming conference event in Europe
Trustly is one of a handful of sponsors for a virtual edition of the European Gaming Congress 2020 which is taking place between 6-7th October.
The conference is boasting some of the biggest names in the gaming industry, with 500 delegates and 80 professional speakers, and is hoping to present some large insights into Europe’s largest gaming compliance gathering.
Events and panels will cover over 28 jurisdictions such as Italy, Malta, Greece, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro.
Alongside Trustly, other sponsors include SoftSwiss, BtoBet, Nordic Gambling, and MaxWeb.
Also confirmed to be present are representatives from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), French Gaming Authority (ANJ), and others. The MGA has been making headlines recently, announcing that it is looking for new strategies to combat the rise of money laundering through online casinos. It has also reported that the Maltese market grew by more than 10% in 2019.
Operators will be represented with stakeholders from companies such as Kaizen Gaming, Altenar, and Enlabs all confirmed to make a showing.
Tickets are being sponsored by Altenar and are still available here: https://hipther.agency/festival-register/

COVID-19 forces more events to move online
The threat of coronavirus means that large scale conferences with a plethora of speakers from a multitude of countries are essentially unviable in the current situation.
Speaking about the rise of online events, Zoltan Tunendik (Co-founder and Head of Business at Hipther Agency who are organizing the congress) suggested:
This year we were supposed to host four live conferences and with all travel restrictions in place, we only managed to host two. However, we have put together more opportunities for learning than ever before, and the European Gaming Congress 2020, which is part of the Hipther Festival is one of the best examples.
This is not the first gaming event to be affected by COVID-19. In August, Trustly sponsored the Mare Balticum Gaming Conference in Tallinn, Estonia. That event was held face-to-face but with plenty of social distancing measures and restrictions.
For the foreseeable future, it seems that more conferences and large-scale gatherings will have to be held virtually or with incredibly strict social distancing measures.
