William hill officially launches Mr. Green Casino and Sports Betting in Latvia

The London-based casino gaming operator William Hill expands its presence in Latvia with the launch of Mr. Green. Mr. Green is William Hill’s second iGaming operation in Latvia after, which is the country’s second-largest operator on the online casino market.

William Hill’s international managing director and CEO of Mr Green, Patrick Jonker, stated the company and brand’s goal of doubling its presence in the market. Already holding the second-largest iGaming operation in the country, that goal shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve.

Mr. Green Affirms Its Position on Responsible Gaming

In a further statement from Jonker, it is confirmed that Mr. Green will utilize a Green Gaming framework. By doing so, Mr Green is affirming its position on responsible gaming in Latvia.

The iGaming market across Europe has seen a heavy push for responsible gaming in recent years. Most recently, 888 introduced a new control center on its platform for players to enable safer gambling methods.

Other iGaming operators and country-specific industries have submitted legislation or received licenses to operate with stricter measures regarding safe gambling.

By publicly announcing its support for safer gambling and the use of a Green Gaming framework, Mr. Green falls in line with the trend seen across the continent. This should help it gain support and promotion throughout Latvia, especially among players on

Mr. Green Is Part of an Interesting 6 Months for William Hill

William Hill ends 2020 on a positive note with the launch of Mr. Green in Latvia. But it hasn’t been an easy year for the London-based gaming operator. The launch announces comes just before the holidays and should start the new year with a brighter outlook.

Starting in July, however, William Hill hit a few snags in terms of its holdings and presence. SIS acquired William Hill’s holdings of 49’s and then in October, Caesar’s Entertainment acquired William Hill, itself.

Though William Hill isn’t hurting. In fact, its acquisition has stabilized them to the point of launching Mr Green securely in Latvia. We will see what’s in store for Mr. Green and William Hill this year. For now, they are on a steady path for domination of the iGaming market in Latvia.
